Pet Diagnostic Imaging

Diagnostic health imaging technology has transformed healthcare and now allows for earlier diagnosis of medical conditions, reduces the need for needless invasive exploratory processes, and creates better patient outcomes. At Kelsey Canine Medical Center we offer Digital Radiology (Xrays) and ultrasounds to help diagnose a plethora of potential health risks/issues.

Digital Radiology

Our on-site, state-of-the-art, digital X-ray equipment provides the highest quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of a variety of conditions and injuries.

If necessary, we offer safe, reversible sedation for nervous patients or when patients must be fully relaxed to ensure the best possible images. With digital machinery, radiographs can be taken and processed almost instantly. Because our images are digital, we can also easily consult with off-site veterinary radiologists when a second opinion is needed and have a report back within an hour.

Ultrasounds

Employ high-frequency sound waves to create images of a dog’s internal organs and developing fetuses during pregnancy. Veterinarians commonly use them to diagnose various health issues, including pregnancy confirmation, monitoring fetal development, and detecting abnormalities in organs like the heart, liver, and kidneys. The non-invasive nature of ultrasounds makes them a safe and essential tool in veterinary care. By providing detailed, real-time images, they aid in accurate diagnoses and informed treatment decisions, ultimately contributing to the well-being of our canine companions.
